Today we went to visit Kamakura. Kamakura is a coastal town just south of Tokyo and used to be the de-facto (although not official) capital of Japan.
This is actually the second time we went there. The first time the weather turned so bad we didn't stay long. This time was much better.
We first visited Enoshima, an island nearby Kamakura. After this we went into Kamakura itself to have lunch at a great restaurant called "Yoshimoto", hidden in a side street of the big shopping street (Komachi-doori), the only good thing we found in our previous trip.
Then we went to see the Daibutsu (Big Buddha) and wanted to take a hike from there. But because we were taking the hike in reverse (you're supposed to end at the big buddha), when it crossed a road we couldn't find where it continued. By the time we found it it was already so late we decided to head back.
So that's twice to Kamakura, and we still haven't seen most of the temples and shrines there. No matter, still got plenty of time to go there again. :)
